“What is ‘hygge,’ and why do I need it?” Scandinavians are some of the happiest people on the planet, even during long, dark, cold winters. A significant portion of their happiness may be attributed to hygge, a lifestyle philosophy centered on coziness and well-being.
In this informative workshop, we will discuss the principles of hygge and explore how to make our lives and homes more hyggelig. Participants will also enjoy a hands-on activity where we decorate a hot cocoa jar and create a homemade hot cocoa mix to fill it.

“What is Diwali, and why is it celebrated?” Diwali — the Festival of Lights — is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in South Asia and among the global Indian diaspora. Rooted in stories of light overcoming darkness and knowledge overcoming ignorance, Diwali blends religious, cultural, and family traditions.
In this welcoming workshop, we’ll explore Diwali’s origins, common traditions, symbolic meanings, and contemporary ways people observe the holiday around the world. Participants will also complete a Diwali-themed craft to decorate their home and celebrate the season.

Discover Imbolc
“What is Imbolc, and why does it matter?” As winter loosens its grip, many cultures celebrate the first stirrings of spring, and Imbolc is an ancient festival that marks that hopeful shift. Rooted in Celtic tradition, Imbolc honors renewal, light, and new beginnings as days slowly lengthen.
In this engaging workshop, we’ll explore Imbolc’s history, symbols, and contemporary ways people observe the season. We will reflect on the winter that has passed and set intentions for the coming year. Participants will also learn to make a St. Brigid’s cross.
